Hello,
I know this has been a major topic of discussion in this forum.
Still, any help shall be appreciated.
I tried to verify the Example 3.1 - 3.3 for Transient Analysis.
But changing the "Nodal Masses" as they are given in the example to the "Mass Density" produce different results for acceleration, velocity and displacement of any node though the eigenvectors are same for both cases.
I changed the "element elasticBeamColumn" as given in example to "element nonlinearBeamColumn" so that I could apply the Mass Density to this element.
Though the eigen vectors are same for both the cases (considering nodal mass or considering element mass density) but the other values like Displacement, Velocity and Acceleration of the Node 3 records almost zero for the case of element mass density.
Please suggest on this problem.
Thank you
With Regards,
Aloke
