precast and prestressed beam?

Post by ae-ox »

Hi,

I want to model a precast and prestressed double-tee element to which is added (after assembling) a layer of cast in situ concrete.

So I have a discontinuity in the stress and strain distribution, i.e. for the load case "selfweight" the cast in situ layer has no stress at all.

Is there a chance to model this with Opensees?

Can I run the analysis for the precast element under selfweight and prestressing forces (axial force and moments at the end of the beam) and then add the cast in situ layer for further analysis??

Thanks,
Andreas
