Can dispBeamColumn element output section stressstrain?

Post by nbubzy »

Dear everyone,
I am now using OS to simulate a concrete pier under cyclic lateral load on the top.
I find it is difficulty to use zerolength element to simulate the strain penetration effects.
So I give up the zerolength element in the model.
But I want to output the section stressstrain with the element recorder.
But nothing can be see from the output file only the time series.
Please help me with this problem.
Thank you all very much!

You should be able to record stresses and strains for a dispBeamColumn element. Would you post the recorder command you used for recording stresses and strains?

I have solved this problem, the sectiion number is the integration number of element.
But I still can't use bond_slip zero length element.
Can you help me?
