Beam with Hinges element record Question

Post by nrojas »

Hi:
I am using the beamwithhinge element for modeling the beams and columns for a RC frame. The section that I am assigning in the plastic hinge length for the columns (for example) is the same.
An example of the input is as follows:

element beamWithHinges 1 1 4 $ColSecTagA $phlc $ColSecTagA $phlc $Ec $ACol $IzCol $ColTransfTag ;

It is possible to record the response of the steel at both plastic hinge length? Actually I have tryed to record using section 1 for the initial plastic hinge length and section 2 for the final plastic hinge, but only I have results for the section 1 and in the second one appears in blank.

recorder Element -file $dataDir/Steelsec11.out -time -ele 1 section 1 fiber 3.75 0 $IDSteel3 stressStrain; (this gave me results)

recorder Element -file $dataDir/Steelsec12.out -time -ele 1 section 2 fiber 3.75 0 $IDSteel3 stressStrain; (this appears in blank)

I will really appreciate the help. thanks.
