I want to kown the command more detail:

recorder ElementDamage eleID? <-time> <-file fileName?> <-section secID1? secID2? ...> <-dof dofID?> <-damage >

1."-section,-dof " ,if i recoder the damage of the element,and the out shoud be damage index,so why put the section iterm in the comand?
2.how can i put the reasonable value of <-dof..>,and what is the real mean of it?
3.if ...could give a an example about this command :lol:

have anyone use it??

where did you find documentation on this command?

also, all those commands in the brackets are optional. you can use them when are looking into more specific damage indices at the section level.

ALL,
if your element/material/etc. is included in the latest executable version of OpenSees that is on the web page, please send me ALL documentation you have so that I can include it in the manual. I need the text so that I can upload it. If you have anything where you would like to keep your name on it, just let me know and I will put it on it!
