Hi Silvia,

Is there any way to input rebar's area manually (predefined bar sizes are too big for my case).

Thanks in advance for your help.

not right now.
what size are you looking at?
can you just use double the size and 1/2 the number?

Hi Silvia,

Thank you very much for your prompt response.
I am looking for D3 (diameter = 3 mm, area = 7.0686 E-06 m2). My email address is marie_sipil@yahoo.com/mari0018@e.ntu.edu.sg.
Actually I tried to modify 'thisModelDataArray' file, but I am not so sure whether this is a right way or not.

Speaking of which, one time I got this error message:
expected floating-point number but got "0.225-"
expected floating-point number but got "0.225-"
while executing
"layer straight $iAllMaterialLabelTag($ReinfMaterialLabel) 0 0.00064516 0.225- 0.1 0.225- -0.1"
("eval" body line 1)
invoked from within
"eval "$thisFiberInputDataArray(Type) $thisFiberInputDataArray(MaterialTag) $thisFiberInputDataArray(MidData) $thisFiberInputDataArray(CoordData)" "
("foreach" body line 1)
invoked from within
"foreach {FiberInputLabel thisFiberInputData} $FiberInputData { catch {unset thisFiberInputDataArray}; array set thisFiberInputDataArray " $thisFiber..."
invoked from within
"section Fiber $SectionTag -GJ [expr $G*$J] { foreach {FiberInputLabel thisFiberInputData} $FiberInputData { catch {unset thisFiberInputDataArray}; ..."
("eval" body line 1)
invoked from within
"eval $BuildSectionCommand"
(procedure "buildModel" line 276)
invoked from within
"buildModel $thisModelLabel"
(procedure "AnalyzeNow" line 277)
invoked from within
"AnalyzeNow"
invoked from within
".wBuildingTclViewer.pwPanes.frame.bAnalyze invoke"
("uplevel" body line 1)
invoked from within
"uplevel #0 [list $w invoke]"
(procedure "tk::ButtonUp" line 24)
invoked from within
"tk::ButtonUp .wBuildingTclViewer.pwPanes.frame.bAnalyze"
(command bound to event)

I suspected it was from the section, when I redefined the (exact) section, there was no error message. Do you have any idea why this could happen? and is there any way to delete unused section/element/elevation model?

Thanking you once again.

Marie,
i really don't have the resources to do this right now.
try to just use what's there, just change the number of bars so you get the same total area.
