I have a pushover for a circular pile fixed at base (it's actually a cantilevel beam problem). The full configuration for fiber section is from 0 - 360 degrees. I was wondering if I can get the same deflection using the half configuration (starting angle 0 and ending angle 180 degrees) and half load?
I tried and the difference was so large (something like 5 times). Another way to describe my question is, is there a way to configure fiber section so we can get half stiffness of the pile.
Appreciate any assistance.

Can we do half mesh for fiber section?

Yes you can use the fiber section to create a half section for a circular pile. You just need to make sure that the orientation of the half section is correct.
So depending on the direction of loading and the orientation of the section, you may have to use a half section that is between 90 and 270 degrees instead of between 0 and 180 degrees.
This could be why you have the large difference in displacements
