look at my dissertation, if you are not interested in parallel you don't need to go beyond chapter 3.

also look at this paper:

McKenna, F., M.H. Scott, and G.L. Fenves. "Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis Software Architecture Using Object Composition." Journal of Computing in Civil Engineering, 24(1):95-107, January 2010.

Re: about shearlimitmaterial

Post by leituo616 »

Dear professor : How are you? sorry, I want to tell my questions clearly.
I am a student form China. I have learned all of your papers since 2002 about your shear limit material. I have some quentions about your material.
In OpenSees Manual, the example analysis file for limitStateMaterial, in this analysis file ,I have some questions. a) How to calculate #residual shear capacity Vr=3.0? b) #stiffness of unloading slope for flexural component kf=24.7? c) #strengths for initial response Vi1=25?
Vi2=30? Vi3=45?
Welcome to Tongji University again. I hope to discuss with you about
your material at length.

thank you very much. Looking forward to you reply.
