large deformation
Dear all
can opensees consider large deformation effects?
can opensees consider large deformation effects?
Hi,
I think opensees cannot consider the effect of large deflection for trusses.
For a famous example (simple one-dimensional problem) that is a bar and has been mentioned in many references (e.g.Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis, Crisfield), we cannot see the actual equilibrium path (Load-deflection). Rather there is a jump in this path.
the problem is related to which factor? (corotTruss element, algorithm or integrator?)
tnx.
