Seismic Analysis of URM using Equivalent Frame Approach

Post by Naveed »

Hi developers
I am doing seismic analysis of URM using Equivalent Frame approach, elastic frame elements with nonlinear zerolength element (defined using hysteretic material for shear response).
I want to update the shear strength of piers in each step for corresponding axial loads. I am doing this in a for loop, updating the elements connectivity with removing previously defined elements. However, i am having problem with removing tag from the hysteretic material, as i am updating this material in each step.
Is there any specific command for removing tag from the uniaxial material?
Thanks
Naveed

For those who are interested to use OpenSees for static and dynamic analysis of masonry buildings using simplified Equivalent Frame Method. Access to the following article.

Ahmad, N., Crowley, H., Pinho, R., Ali, Q., [2010] "Displacement-based earthquake loss assessment of masonry buildings in Mansehra city, Pakistan", Journal of Earthquake Engineering, Vol. 14 (Special Issue), pp. 1-37.
