Dear fmk,silvia...
there was a problem with damping and elastic models when using Newmark in opensees 1.7.0 ..
Is this problem still in the new opensees 1.7.1?..........

I just asked about the errors that happened when use Newmark with Linear analysis..................

the problem that I get wrong"very high values"of the deformation when applying Transient analysis & using Linear algorithm with Newmark integrator.........................................
