how can I get the 'plastic' of the brick8N elements ?

dear all:
I build a solid model using brick8N elements and template3Dep materials， this time I want record equivalent deviatoric plastic strain from each Gauss points , while the file is empty，why?can anyone help me ?
recorder Element -file $dataDir/VMplasti8.out -eleRange 81 825 plastic

it really has plastic strains.

can any one puts some materials of the I/O of tcl?
for example ,how to read datas of one txt and write it to another?

use dr. google to find examples of reading and writing files in tcl .. of course you might want to do it before Dr. Google leaves china!
