hi silvia,
I try to modeling shear wall as simple as possible by opensees.I have ONLY hystercis force displacement of wall.
my question is:
1-which element is best for this type modeling?
2-Is it possible to model wall with one zero length element?

Hi silvia,
I fOUNd ,one paper that use the "zero lenth element"
for modeling of shear wall.I used this method for modeling of one shear wall under static load ,this model was reasonable.but for primery modeling i used this method in 3D "wall-base"building.
Component of primery model
1- one rigid roof.
2- 2 walls that are under the roof.
3-there are no beams and column in the model.
I try to moel two walls with "zero lenth element".
My questions :
1-Is it possible use zero length element in 3D problems?
2-is it possible use zero length element under this roof?
3-It is clear i use the "geomTransf Linear" for trandform from local to global,is it possible use zero length element with this command?
