- Thanks Sylvia and Frank, much appreciated...
- Gentlemen commented on the need node lists. I agree. I thought Frank mentioned that node queries are available in 2.1, but I can't seem to find the message referring to that function.
- Suggested functionality - provide access to matricies (global, elemental), and matrix operation functionality. Profs could use it as a teaching tool in classes like structural dynamics, users could customize (e.g. Guyan reduction to reduce problem size).
- In my mind the number one growth impediment is the lack of a good pre/post processor (apologies if you're getting tired of hearing this). I understand resources are an issue to build one from scratch, and I don't know if that's even practical because it has to be maintained (a full time job in itself). Suggestion - write open source translators to currently available commercial packages, many have export/import text file capabilities (I'm working with FEMAP). Could be done in tcl, I use VBA. Maybe not the ideal solution, but companies sometimes offer popular software packages available to academia at minimal prices, maybe something could be worked out.

Thanks again, excellent workshop...Paul Bradford
