Shear Wall modeling in OpenSees

Post by horizon »

Dear all,
I just started to model a 3-dimensional 4-storey RC building consisting of moment-resisting frames and shear walls.I'd like to run first a linear analysis and then nonlinear time-history analyses.I have the model of the building in Sap2000 and planning to compare the results.
Any idea about modeling of shear walls in OpenSees?Should I model them as frame elements and along their widths connect them to the beams with infinitely rigid, massless, fictitious elements?
Besides this, because I'm a very beginner user of OpenSees any help, comment, suggestions are welcome!
Marry Christmas and happy New Year!
