encountering a important problem for need help

Dear silvia
I am modeling prestressed beam using additional truss element with initial strain.i also know someone have done it .
i tried to find it in forum,but very long i don't find that how to preset initial strain.
silvia ,please tell me how to do it.because ,now only you can help me .
solving the problem is very important for me.

i believe you do it by giving an initial stress or strain to the material, you have to use steel02.
i have never done it.
