joint2d

Post by mostafa1361 »

Hi Dr Silvia
Im studying RCS (reinforce concrete coulmn & steel beam) frames and i want to simulate it by opensees .
i downloded user manual and examples but i couldnt find joint2d command!!
please help me for joint2d command (not Beam-Column Joint Element).
and how can i use two nonlinear rotational springs in center of the joint2d ?

***The Joint2D model is recommended to represent the composite joint panels in OpenSees. Joint dimensions should correspond to the depth of the steel beam and the width of the concrete column.
The joint hysteretic properties are defined by an internal rotational spring which can accommodate any number of moment versus rotation springs.
The two different deform ation mechanisms, panel shear and vertical
bearing, can be represented by two nonlinear springs in series. The panel shear spring can be best represented by the Steel02 model .
The vertical bearing spring can be defined using the Hysteretic material model***

please help meeeeeee
thanks a lot ........
