I hope some on will help me out... my problem is that after running the example3.1 I want to see the results and it is said I can view that in example.out file but I can't locate this file ... can someone tell me how exactly I can view the results and I also face few problems with post processor .. infact I am not able to view example3.1 in it... Hope someone comes to my rescue soon...Thanks..

i am not sure where you got your Example3.1.tcl from .. look in the actual file you have
for the recorder command(s) .. the name of the output file(s) will be there .. look for those files .. for example, the current Example3.1.tcl contained with a source distribution and found at http://opensees.berkeley.edu/cgi-bin/cv ... web-markup

contains the single recorder command:
recorder Node -file nodeGravity.out -time -node 3 4 -dof 1 2 3 disp

when run the output file will be nodeGravity.out
