About Recorder command

Post by davidjingyu »

Dear Silvia,

I have some problems about recorder command.

1. How can I record both the roof-displacement and total base shear force in the same output file using recorder command? (as i find that recorder command only support output of one type of response, e.g. node, element, etc. and whether it can combine the responses from node and element in one file while calculating)

2. How can I record the ground motion and display the corresponding curve during calculation

looking forward for your answer.

Thanks a lot

1. you can't really. in a static lateral analysis the pseudotime is proportional to your lateral load, so you can use that, but, otherwise, you have to do the post-processing.

2. you could use it using the Tk version and the available real-time recorder for nodal displacement: getDisp
