recorder formatting

Post by blackard »

Is there any way to format the recorder output?

I can't seem to find any information in the user manual,
or the tcl website.

The output gets spit out in quite a crude form,
difficult to figure out what's what.

Try to load into Matlab, it would look better.

otherwise you may want to change to code and re-compile again.
hope that helps :)

the "crude" format is the best as it is easily loaded into a post-processor like matlab (othewise you'd have go in and remove text lines, as matlab would not load up such file).
typical output is consistent with dof's: Dx,Dy,Dz,Rotx,RotY,RotZ, or corresponding forces/moments. whether it is in global or local coordinate systems depends on what you specified (at element level it is clear) section output is in local coordinates.
hope this helps.
