Hi,
This is briefly what I know about SSI (Soil-structure-interaction):
Kinematic SSI ==> Assign mass to the structure, assign mass to the PDMY, don't assign mass to soil quad elements.
Inertial SSI ==> Assign mass to the structure, assign mass to the PDMY, assign mass to soil quad elements. That way your soil and structure will have a lumped mass matrix.
