About the LumpedMass Matrix or ConsistentMass Matrix in OpenSees

Post by hubo »

Hello
I am working on seismic analysis of a nonlinear bridge model. As the main vulnerable component of bridge under earthquake, the bridge pylon and girder is beformed by Non-linear Beam-column Element based on flexibility method.
I am wondering can I simulate the elements by Consistent-Mass Matrix(Not Lumped-Mass Matrix by -mass command)?

The forceBeamColumn / nonlinearBeamColumn element only uses lumped mass in the current implementation

What are the elements to which it is possible to give a distributed mass? (consistent mass)
For example if have a fiber element (C.A. column) it work with cmass?
and elasticbeamelement?
