I am beginner in opensees and need your help with regard to modeling steel damper as bilinear or tri linear force-deformation relation.
My aim to model steel damper in order to make the comparison of hysteretic curve which obtained from experimental test with simplified model. In bilinear model the input data is elastic stiffness, yield force or yield displacement and post yield stiffness ratio , while the loads is cyclic increasing displacement. for example 0 1 0 -1 0 2 0 -2 0 4 0 -4 ....so on. After that I want to calculate the area under hysteretic curve as hysteretic energy. What type element should be used if the material data is not stress-strain but force-displacement. your help is highly appreciated.

I have modeled a TMD in a 5 story 3D RC structure and I have carried out a Time history analysis of it. But the displacements are the same when there is no TMD. I will write down it's part of my scripts. Please helllllp me. thanks

Hello Sir,
I want the examples of --
1. Free field liquefaction analysis
2. Soil structure interaction and
3. Soil foundation modelling
I am doing my project on Seismic requalification of geotechnical structures in OpenSees for which I will require the above examples and also site response analysis which is already there in OpenSees geotechnical examples. I have to model a soil foundation system of a bridge in liquefiable soil. Therefore I request you to kindly post these examples as early as possible.
