use of “section Fiber” and “section Aggregator” commands

Post by ttt »

Hi,

A certain steel section is described by Area, Inertia moments, Elasticity and Shear modules and etc. for a geometrically nonlinear structural system under only a bending moment with single axis. Also, the material is defined using “uniaxialMaterial Steel01”.

Although I can not obtain the same load and displacements values for this benchmark structural system using “section Aggregator” in a way of defining the different rigidities (translational, bending and etc.) using “uniaxialMaterial Steel01”, I can not obtain the same load values but obtain the same displacements values using and “section Fiber” commands. In fact, the main problem is arisen from the correctly definition of different rigidities accordingly for the “section Fiber” command using “uniaxialMaterial Steel01”.

How can define the different rigidities accordingly for the “section Fiber” command?

P.S.: Although I try to use ““uniaxialMaterial parallel” for the definition of these different rigidities (translational, bending and etc.). I can obtain the close values only using bending rigidities with double axis thereby omitting the other ones. I can not give a reasonable explanation?????
