i wangt to build a 2D RC-frame. i use the Geometric Transformation Command in the element define. must the transfTag of beam and the transfTag of column be differrent??? why???

no they do not have to be different .. they can be the same.

what I do for a 3D case, I still use the same by defining the local z axis to be perpendicular to the plane of the frame.
