Some question on the interface between Matlab and OpenSees

There are many structure-control function in Matlab. I want to built a interface between Matlab and OpenSees, so it realizes the structure-control analysis based on the more accurate finite-element model. But the question is the interfaces I saw are all about pre-process and post-process, the interface I want can exchange data in every single step of computation. Is this interface feasible? Does the OpenSees permit this operation? Thank you.

why don't you give an example of what you want to control and people can take a look.
