restarting job after rebooting computer

Post by AnnaKowal »

Hello,

My computer got completely frozen just before finishing heavy OpenSees job (taking 3 days to run), after waiting over an hour I had to reboot it.
The terminal windows are still open and I wonder if there is any command/way I can restart a job without loosing already created data.

I can look at the data created but would be nice to have an elegant, completed outputs.

Thanks,
Anna

Yes, that's what I wanted to do, if possible.

At the moment, unfortunately that is not possible as the states of elements are not stored after OpenSees stops running

Did your computer freeze due to OpenSees or some other process?

Sorry for the late response. It froze to OpenSees.

For heavy jobs, you can use the OpenSees parallel versions in Design Safe: https://www.designsafe-ci.org/rw/worksp ... Simulation
