Dears colleagues,
I'm working on shear failure about circular section column.
Concerning the shear limit in OpenSees manual, i have something confused!
In the input of curve, i should input the section b, h, but it's for rectangular section.
What should i do to define b, h for circular section?
I appreciate your help. Cordially.
How to define shear spring for circular section?

Hi,
you should define two nodes with same coordinate, then, you can you zeroLength element to define shear spring.

Dear mohammmad,
thank you a lot for your reply.
I am looking for how to define in OpenSees the following command for circular sections ?!!
limitCurve Shear $curveTag $eleTag $rho $fc $b $h $d $Fsw $Kdeg $Fres $defType $forType <$ndI $ndJ $dof $perpDirn $delta>.
I appreciate your help colleague.

Re: How to define shear spring for circular section?
There should be no difference for a circular or rectangular section in terms of using the shear limit material
