Implement New Material Model in Older OpenSees Version

Post by joshwoods »

Hello everyone,

I am using a new concrete material model that has been released in 32-bit OpenSees 3.0.0.

I am wondering if it is possible, and if yes, how difficult it would be to implement this new material in an older version of OpenSees. I know because the OpenSees source code is available it may be possible, but I am not familiar with these procedures. The hybrid testing system in our laboratory works well with an older version of OpenSees (2.5.0 rev 6248)/OpenFresco, so I want to see if it is possible to implement this new material model in that version of OpenSees.

If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Josh
