Assigning different rebar detailing sections to a member
Hi
I was wondering if there is a way to assign cross-sections with different reinforcement detailing to various integration points for the force-based beam-column element without creating new nodes along the same member?
(I'm aware there is an older post on this, but the link suggested in the post no longer works..)
Many thanks..

Is it possible to the same with displacement-based elements?

But how? I couldn't see any option like forcebeamcolumn element that you are able to define the number of integration points, their positions and also their sections.

I think with displacement elements you may just have to assign different elements to each section which have different detailing. To get accurate results with DB elements it is necessary to use multiple elements per a member - so it may be easier to just assign elements with different sections..
