Dear all,
I am currently modeling a 2D frame with rocking walls. But I have a problem in cyclic analysis. Following are the information of the elements that I have used in the modeling.
rocking wall: dispbeamcolumn and elasticbeamcolumn elements
all beams and columns: forcebeamcolumn (tried with dispbeamcolumn elements too, problem still persists there, but I am surprised to see a large difference in the results between two types of the element)
Post-tensioned tendons: corotational element
Pushover runs fine but with a number of iterations. And I am using the same cyclic analysis file available on the internet. If there is anyone, please suggest me a way out for this.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Convergence Problem in Cyclic Analysis
hi, dear Rejina, have your question solved? I also use dispbeamcolumn and elasticbeamcolmun element to model the shear wall, but failed, could you share your solutions?

Re: Convergence Problem in Cyclic Analysis
To overcome convergence problems, you should use an adaptive solution strategy
