components of plastic deformation recorder in 3D modeling?

Post by aminamini »

Hi everyone,

what is the six components of plastic deformation recorder for forceBeamColumn elements in 3D modeling?

element used:
element forceBeamColumn 1 1 5 $BeamTransfTag "HingeRadau 11 .25 11 .25 110"

recorder:
recorder Element -file ele.out -ele 1 plasticDeformation

thanks dear fmk,

but there is a problem. the values of plastic rotations about the Y (the second and third components) after applying the gravity loads are more than the rotations about the Y that computed using the basicDeformation recorder!!!

the recorder for computing plastic rotation:
recorder Element -file ele.out -ele 1 plasticDeformation

the recorder for computing total rotation:
recorder Element -file ele.out -ele 1 basicDeformation

is it possible?
where is the problem?
what is the reliable way to calculate plastic rotations in forcebeamcolumn elements in 3D modeling?
