Parametrical push-over

Post by bandwidth0zero »

I' m trying to execute a parametrical push-over (for example different axial load each time), so a loop is needed. I 'm having problem at the end of the first loop, where I must wipe last's analysis results, close recorders and proceed to the next loop... I tried "remove recorders" or/and "wipeAnalysis" or/and "reset" but opS maintains e.g last axial load and adds the new ones, or recorders continue from tha last load factor...

Can anyone advise me which commands do I need, and their order?

Thanks in advance :)

you need to rebuild the model as well, otherwise any new load gets added .. place a wipe at the end of the loop .

Thank you fmk! So, "reset" command doesn't wipe previous results?

wipe is the safer alternative .. reset should bring model back to original undeformed state .. i am not sure all element and material developers have implemented the code .. you could of course check for your model by doing a reset, some analysis with 0 load applied and look to see if any forces or displacements (assuming no initial stresses)
