Difficulties with ElasticPPcpp example

Post by marianodd »

Dear all,

I’m trying to add a new material in OpenSees, so I followed step-by-step the instructions given in

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaxFLF6A8Rg

First, I found difficulties during building of ElasticPPcpp.dll because of missing core files that I searched and found in the repository for Release 2.2.0; after that, the building of .dll file was successful. Unfortunately, when I run example1.tcl in OpenSees it displays the following error message:

WARNING could not create uniaxialMaterial ElasticPPcpp

The ElasticPPcpp.dll file is in the same directory of the example1.tcl file.

I’m using Visual Studio 2015 as builder and OpenSees 2.4.6 on a 64bit Windows10 operating system. I tried using a 32bit OpenSees but it didn't work; I also tried to build the .dll using VirtualStudio 2010 but it didn't work, not even on a WindowsXP machine… any suggestion?
