There are many ways to do it, and it depends on what you wishes to do (what type of problem are you trying to solve).
For example, you create proto node (those are the same as other node, I simply use a diff name to remind me that they aren't really part of the model) at the same geometric position (x,y and z) as that of your boundary node. Then you define zerolength elements and assign them material properties that matches your needs (damper, spring, DOF you need, etc).

Thank you very much for you can reply to my question,,I'd like to add two dimensional viscoelastic artificial boundary,Can you tell me the specific steps,Such as the selection of materials, selection of parameters..Soil quadrilateral element is selected.....
