modeling BRB material in Opensees

Post by rubyvicencio »

Hi,

I am trying to model a 6 story 1-bay buckling restrained braced frame. I have the basic model, but I am trying to research how to define the material that will give the same results as a BRB material.
I found a post that says the is a uniaxial material for Steel BRB but I cant get the link. Another one says to use Steel02 and assign corotTruss. Could you please tell me what is the best way to define and model trhese braces?

Thank you

Hi,
Have you solved worked out the problem? I am trying to model 3-story 1-bay reinforced concrete frame retrofitted with buckling-restrained braces model, and now I have not figured out how to realize it yet. Maybe we can have some discussions.
