I am trying to do a set of pushover analysis. So I want to push a structure till a certain drift and then unload it till zero load and finally do another pushover from that zero load point. So for this I am running three pushover analysis one after another. It is working fine till the zero load point but once I start the third pushover from the zero-load point, it just follows the unload path and then trace the path of the first pushover. I want to unload the structure till zero load and then do a pushover analysis from that point afresh. Please let me know how it can be done.
A little help will be deeply appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Supratik

Re: Pushover Analysis
how to you do load and unload .. DisplacementControl or LoadControl? .. you might want to load in DisplacementCOntrol and unload in LoadControl .. also remember to determine current displacement at point of 0 load for when you want to start pushing again.

Re: Pushover Analysis
I load and unload by displacement control. I have checked the displacement at zero load to be non-zero. I have used the material Concrete02 which may be the reason for getting such response. Can you suggest me a material so that the pushing the structure after unloading will not follow the same path as before, but do the pushover analysis afresh.

Hi fmk,
how to "determine current displacement at point of 0 load for when want to start pushing again"?.

Hi fmk,
how to "determine current displacement at point of 0 load for when want to start pushing again"?.
Re: Pushover Analysis
use the nodeDisp command.
