svn Download problem ?

Post by sb1966 »

Dear fmk and all,

Sorry to write this, but:

1) I have been trying to download the source code (latest rev 5855) using svn, these days. But every time I am getting information that says:
"svn: E000110: Unable to connect to a repository at URL 'svn://opensees.berkeley.edu/usr/local/svn/OpenSees/trunk'
svn: E000110: Can't connect to host 'opensees.berkeley.edu': Connection timed out"

2). I believe my internet connection is OK as I am able to access other sites as well as other pages of OpenSees quite fast.

3). My svn software is up to date.

4). Is there any issue with the sourcecode server?

Thanks for your patience.

Seeing the same problem as sb1966 when I try to do a svn checkout via my terminal. Was able to do it just fine over the weekend and when a friend of mine did it via tortoise svn.

i am not sure what the issue is .. possibly we are having server problems due to the load on it (it houses other PEER products)

i am hoping it is just the server problem again .. turns out they have a script that restarts the ting once an hour or so due to a problem the NGAWest databse is having running between MySQL and Ruby.

I've come across this problem multiple times before... it would typically happen when I would move my whole OpenSees folder to a different location and opened up the solution again. In terms of fixing it... don't really have an idea of how to get rid of that problem.

Re: svn Download problem: Any solution ?

Post by sb1966 »

Dear Admin,

I have been trying to download the latest builds by using svn many times over these months. But every time I get the following error:
------------
svn: E000110: Unable to connect to a repository at URL 'svn://opensees.berkeley.edu/usr/local/svn/OpenSees/trunk'
svn: E000110: Can't connect to host 'opensees.berkeley.edu': Connection timed out
--------------

Otherwise my net connection is perfectly allright and I can visit sites including other pages of OpenSees website.

The same problem was also reported by other users in the past but it is not resolved, it appears, till now.

May we expect an early solution? It is important for carrying out ongoing OpenSees works.

Hope to have a favourable early action.
