a misunderstanding .. the force beam column element (nonliearBEamColumn) only gives a weak compatability as opposed to a strong compatability.

see the papers on the force based element referenced on the command page. also you can scan the following .pdf frm our last workshop:

Hi
I record basic Force And plastic Deformation of nonlinear beam column element so my question is:
positive and negative sign in plastic deformation output what said to me?
the sign of basic Force and plastic deformation not compatible together.
