MORE DETAILS FOR NEW USER?

Post by huyuntian »

Hey, I am a new user of OpenSees.
I have learn the software for a couple of days by reading the Command manual and those examples on the website.
My question is those items in the manual are just providing simple descriptions of commands. What should I do if I want get more details about the commends ?
I post this topic for Anybody if they can recommend some useful materials or books that contain basic tutorial to help me learn more about how OpenSees work. Please give me the recommend list.
Thanks

if you want more about the theory you will have to reference the papers on the individual elements or materials.
if you want to now how everything fits together read my dissertation. http://opensees.berkeley.edu/OpenSees/doc/fmkdiss.pdf
if you want to know how the code works have a look at the source code. http://opensees.berkeley.edu/OpenSees/developer/svn.php
