Function Reference and Random Variables

Hi,

I have recently installed the latest version of OpenSees. I have an old FORM analysis script which runs on version 1.7.2, but I notice that the set up for random variables has now changed - previously I used {x_1}, {x_2} etc, but I note reading some sample code that random variables are now assigned to parameters, which are referenced as \$par(N).

I tried re-writing my old script to fit the new setup, but had no luck getting a converged solution. I am unsure as to weather this is down to my misinterpretation of the use of parameters, or if I have analysis settings which are no longer appropriate.

Is there documentation / function references that I could consult in order to learn things properly ?
