MVLEM element

Hi Frank and all,

Is the element discussed in papers of Orakcal and Wallace called "MVLEM" that is for shear wall modeling, available to be used in OpenSees?
They say they have implemented that into OpenSees!

Thanks

Import SAP/ETABS model into Opensees

Hi Frank and all,

In Opensees Navigator it shows the s2k file format in open file menu. Is there any way to open SAP/ETABS model in Opensees?
Thanks,

Now I want to change the name of dll file; These are the things I've done for changin...

Hi Frank, I appreciate if you clarify this for me by confirming if I do the right thing: I want to add a new material to OpenSees. - I open the WindowsDLLs solution from source code (in PACKAGES/win32). Is that ok if I just modify the ElasticPPcpp.h and ElasticPPcpp.cpp, just build the ElasticPPcpp ...

I downloaded the source code from Opensees website a couple weeks ago and the WindowsDlls file and example1.tcl are all in the PACKAGES folder. The same problem exists when trying the script that tests the TrussCpp element. Has anybody else reported such a problem? I think I do everything correctly....

Hi Frank, I've created the dll and have it together with scrip and Opensees exe file in one folder and I'm running example1. It runs the script but give an error at end which is because of "print ele" command in example1.tcl because when I deactivate it, the program runs without a problem....

Hi Mohamed, I have read your paper "A computational model for RC members confined with fiber reinforced polymer lamina" published on 2006 and as it says you have succeed to introduce a fiber-section model for nonlinear analysis confined RC members into OpenSees. Are those sections and mate...

Thanks Silvia! I will, but I think it will be helpful for lots of researchers using opensees to have this feature and it would be great if you add it to the program.

Is the concrete model with lateral-confienemtn effects that Prof. Mosalam at ucb was working on it, available yet? I know their paper regarding this model is published on 2008. if yes, how can we access it?
Thanks for your help in advance!
