Mehanny damage model
I define a mehanny damage model for my joints in a lumped plasticity model based on the appendix of Altoontash thesis but the numbers I get are so small like the building undergoes a negligible damage (numbers around 0.1-0.1 !!) although i use very strong motions with 2400yr reurn periods. does anyo...

Damage model recorder
I have defined ParkAng damage model and used it in the joint2D model (based on Altoontash dissertation). but do not know how to define the proper recorder to get the final damage index. how can I do it?

I bring an example here: (this is not my model. my model is a lumped plasticity model) in this model if you ignore only the 4 equalDOF command lines there will be no error for the Joint2D s although the nodes constrained together by equalDOF have no kind of connection or relation to the joint nodes....

the above mentioned errors have caused my model from being built properly because the eigen analysis cannot be performed. the only problem I have are the Joint2D s. do you have any idea how joint problem can be solved? I have defined 4 nodes around the joint. in the Joint2D definition I give each no...

the problem is with the joint2D. if you eliminate the joint2D and make the 4 nodes around every joint only 1 the problem will be solved ! this may change your model completely though ! this is the same problem I have with the Joint2D and is driving me nuts. I have not found any solution to Joint2D i...
