PlateFiber section for shear wall
Dear All, I've used PlateFiber section command for modeling concrete shear wall. The applied material is also PlateFiber material. In my research, an elastic isotropic material has been selected and used for the shear wall material. The model is complete and the results are good. I've sent the paper...

Re: shear wall limit state
Dear Ali,
How do you model your wall? do you use shell element?

Re: a command to record plastic rotation!
dear Vesna
tanks for your answer!
I tried this command for a beam in a simple symmetric steel moment frame with nonlinearbeamcolumn elements, but the plastic rotations at two ends were different!
I am confused and do not know the problem!

a command to record plastic rotation!
Dear Vesna!! I saw in a post here, that you answered one of the questions about the plastic rotation....your answer was: "To get plastic rotation of plastic hinges for element 1 here is the command: recorder Element -file Element1.out -time -ele 1 plasticDeformation The file will contain 4 colu...

a way to calculate plastic rotation!
dear all professional openseesers!
Can i record the rotation at one of the nodes at the end of the beam and then minus the yield rotation of the beam to calculate the plastic rotation at that end?! is it true?!

Re: How to calculate plastic rotation?
Dear Vesna thanks for your answer, but what kind of deformation of a section should i record for curvature? (in a 2 dimention problem: 1, 2 or 3?) and, are the following formulas correct for the calculation of the plastic rotation using the curvature? Lp = (L/2)*(1 - final_moment/yeilding_moment) Pl...

How to calculate plastic rotation?
Dear vesna and all other proffesion openseeser! I've modeled a 1-bay 1-story steel moment frame and subjected it to an earthquake record. I want to record plastic rotation for the beam.As you know, the plastic rotation should be evaluated using the curvature. I have some questions: 1. what kind of e...

hi vesna
what about plastic rotation?
I hope there exists another way except from curvature!

I cant record rotation and stiffness for beamwithhinges
Hi Silvia and other perfessional OpenSeeser
i have modeled a one-story one bay steel moment frame. I've used beamwith hinges element for beams. But i cannot record rotation and stiffness for this element.
may you please help me?
regards
