ok thank you i changed the font in txt file and it worked i have another problem when i use a loop for analysing the structure to change the loadpattern after each analyze step like the below opensees cant converge but when i do not remove the loadpattern there would be no error warning what do you ...

but tcl doesnt recognize the cmmand and print invalid commad

hi
i want to change the loadpattern after eache eigen command
so i used a loop with while command . but it doesnt work
how can i remove load pattern and substitute it with a new one
i used
remove loadpattern $tag
but it doesnt work

i am trying to use tcl to update th loadvector
and i think we can do it . i just want to know how could we define matrices in tcl from the eigen vectors after each analyze step and do some mathematical operation on matrices

strep thank you very much that worked also we can use the following command: dos('opensees.exe filename.tcl') but after the analyze it close the opensees command window. let me explain if you run opensees for example a pusover analysis and (analyze 1) it will save just one step result with the recor...

i have to do some process in matlab on eigen vetors after each analysis step and then update the load vetor .i mean i nead updated eigen vectors. but in opensees it doesnt update eigen vector after each analyze step. maybe it is possible if i run eigen command after each analyze step by using a loop...

i run opensees with matlab using 'winopen' command; but i dont know how to source tcl files and run the analysis. it jus open the opensees window;
do you haveany idea ?

it was really silly
i used box section in my model and used fiber section to model that but i didnt notice to the sequence of entering the i j k l vertexes of ''Quadrilateral Patch Command''.
but finally i found the mistake
