the problem that I get wrong"very high values"of the deformation when applying Transient analysis & using Linear algorithm with Newmark integrator.........................................

T section

Hi all......... I used 2 type of section Rect-section & T-section with the same depth . when carrying out MomentCurvature such as example2.1 ,I get the same result for the 2 sections............................... I think the problem is OS working with only one value of width........ please help...

element recorder error

Hi all............. I am trying to use {recorder Element -file ele1sec1Force.out –time -ele 3 section 3 force}to record the element 3 forces at integration point number 3 but I get nothing in that file {ele1sec1Force.out}.... what is the problem...................................................... ...

I think that the problem is the two values of the width of the beam
so the program failed in working with 2 values of
width and need one only.........

there was a problem with damping and elastic models when using Newmark in opensees 1.7.0 ..

Is this problem still in the new opensees 1.7.1?..........
