Pinching4
Hi all,
Is there any further documentation or references on Pinching4 and its parameters? Or are we limited to what is in the manual?
If there is, where can I find it?
Thanks,
/P

Running OpenSeesSP
Hi, I've tried (unsuccessfully) to install OpenSeesSP on Windows Server 2008. I'm at the point where I can actually open OpenSeesSP and write commands... except that when I write: mpirun -np 4 OpenSeesSingleParallelInterpreter mymodel.tcl I get the message that mpirun is not a valid command. What co...

Print elements command
Hello, I have noticed something strange with OpenSees. I have a model of a tubular steel brace with gusset plates modeled at both ends as zeroLength elements (rotational springs). Displacements are imposed at one end of the brace to evaluate a buckling load, and buckling takes place in the XY plane ...

Quick question: the documentation on uniAxial material "limitCurve Axial" refers to figures. Where can I find these figures?

Thanks, Silvia! We've looked at it, but we don't see how we'd be able to assign zero stiffness between the time the bolt goes from one end to the other. We'd have to pass through (0,0), or the origin, every time we cycle. So far, we don't see how we'd be able to achieve this with Hysteretic. However...

Modeling bolt bearing deformations with Pinching4
Hello, A fellow student and I are trying to model the bearing deformations of a bolt hole using the Pinching4 uniAxial material. The behavior is essentially bi-linear, such that points 2, 3, and 4 are on the same line in the plastic range. Here is what we are trying to model, broken down into steps ...
