recorder global-local force
I'm recording forces at the ends of a column. Firstly, I use "localForce" and then "globalForce". Both cases give me the same values for Fx,Fy,Fz. I mean that I have: Fx=FY, Fy=FX and Fz=-FZ. But when I look at the moments (Mx,My,Mz) I see that the values are different. Why is th...

I'm studing example 7 and I'm a little bit confused about vectxz for girders. Let's say we have the element 1321 with nodeI --> 121 and nodeJ--> 221, so local x-axis has the same direction and sign with global Z-axis. Assuming that local y-axis is vertical, the local z-axis should have the same dire...

Flexure + Shear Interaction
Is there any way I can have shear+flexure+axial interaction in a 3D building with displacement-based elements??
Thank you!
Thank you!

Pushover Analysis
During a pushover analysis and after a number of steps, the message below appears:
"R is negative for ReinforcingSteel::Set MP"
Do you know what does this mean??
Thank you!

Failure during pushover analysis
I have a 3D model with fiber sections and displacement-based elements. The static analysis for gravity loads as well as the dynamic analysis using a particular accelogram have no problem at all. But when I try a pushover analysis for my model the message below appears: UMD2FA: matrix is singular. On...

About the constraints, all the base nodes are fixed and there is a rigid diaphragm for all the nodes at each floor (including the nodes at the ends of all the three parts each beam is seperated). Now, the nodes from the division of the columns are not constrained at all.... Do you think there might ...

WARNING during static analysis..
Hello! I run a static analysis for gravity loads for a 3-story 3-bayx 4-bayz building. I have 3 elements per beam and 2 elements per column. Because of that I use "dispBeamColumn" elements with fiber sections. For the analysis I have the script below: # Gravity-analysis parameters -- load-...
