Dear fmk: Thank you so much for your detailed answer.I wanted a diplacement control pushover analysis, instead of a target displacement only at roof,I defined several target displacements at each story.in this case I use sp command to push the structure to the predefined target displacements. As you ...

SP Command problem
Hi Dear Silvia,
When I use sp command rather than loading in pushover analysis, after applying gravity load,I have convergence problems, but when I delete gravity load it become works. What should I do?Should I change any parameter in gravity load???Change any test???

Multiple target displacement
Hi Dear Dr.Silvia, I want to know how I can push a structure to multiple target displacements. For example, when I have a 5 story structure,I have 5 target displacement for each story. How should I limit each story to a specified target displacement in the case that with changing the direction of later...

Verifying the results
Dear Dr. Silvia:
I did pushover analysis with SAP and OPENSEES.Should my capacity curves(Base shear vs. Displacement) be the same in both procedures?and with the same results(for example the maximum base shear)

Recorder problem

When I use this record:
recorder Element -xml ele1local.xml -time -ele 1 plasticRotation
It won't be opened and when I open it with excel it is empty. What is my problem? Can I use *.xml for any record? My version is 2.0.0
Thx a lot

It works now!
Dear Dr. Silvia:
I doubled the fiber numbers from 20 to 40 and also increased displacement increment. Now it works without any convergence problems.Thank you so much
