I also have an issue with the number of integration points specified in an element. If I specify at or above a certain number of integration points, my OpenSees interpreter will either freeze up or close out immediately. Is this a quirk of the program, or could it be a problem with my own computer? ...

If it is a quirk of the element can it be debugged, or is it something that is simply inherent to the element and cannot be changed?

Question regarding Concrete01

I ran this input file: http://www.nd.edu/~ncatella/test4.txt and got this stress-strain curve: http://www.nd.edu/~ncatella/research.concrete01.test.xls Basically, I cycled a strand of Concrete01 material to a strain of 0.001 (compression) and then to 0.001 (tension) in order to test its properties. ...

This is the syntax that I have been using in the input file:

uniaxialMaterial Hyster_1 1 52.5 .0018103 60 .05 -52.5 -.0018103 -60.
-.05 0 0 0 0

the only thing that the error message reads is:
WARNING could not create uniaxialMaterial Hyster_1

thanks

Hyster_1

When I try to create the bilinear hysteretic material, Hyster_1, OpenSees returns
WARNING could not create uniaxialMaterial Hyster_1
As far as I can tell, my syntax is correct. So what is going wrong?

uniaxial sections

Do any of the examples in the Examples Primer utilize a uniaxial section? I can't seem to find one. Thanks.

Post-tensioning

Is there any way for OpenSees to model post-tensioning?
